Scotland's Future
We must learn from our history to shape our future today.
We must learn from our history to shape our future today.

Meet your host, Alan... and one of his pugs... BOO.
They are about to take you down the rabbit hole of UK politics and... yes... Scottish independence.
Sit back, get comfortable and enjoy the read.
It's serious stuff, but it doesn't have to be boring.
I am a proud Scot. Born and raised here in Scotland. Working class to my core, and proud of it.
Like many of you, I fought hard for Yes in 2014. Knocked doors, had the arguments, carried the hope. And like many of you, I was gutted on the morning of the 19th of September.
But I never gave up.
What kept me going was a simple question: If Westminster keeps saying no - no Section 30, no referendum, no say on our own future - what do other countries do?
I am not a lawyer. I am not a politician. I am just a Scotsman who got tired of going round in circles, so I started digging.
I went down a rabbit hole - the UN Charter, the International Covenants, how Norway left Sweden, how Slovenia, Ireland and Kosovo made the world listen.
And this is the result: Scotlandsfuture.co.uk
It is not party political. It is my own research, in my own words, with sources so you can check it for yourself.
If you have ever felt we are stuck - this is for you.
A Big Thank You
If you've made it to the bottom of this site, thank you. Genuinely.
This hasn't been a quick project for me. It's been hours at the kitchen table, late nights reading, re-reading, checking every line, trying to get this right - not because I wanted to build just another website, but because I believe this conversation about Scotland's future matters too much to leave unsaid.
I'm not a politician, or a lawyer, or an expert with all the answers. I'm just someone who cares deeply about this country and wanted to put what I've learned in one place, as clearly and honestly as I could.
Whether you agree with everything here or not, the fact you took the time to read it through means the world to me.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring enough to read to the end.
